Aims & Principles

Aims

1 Unlearning toxic masculinity

It is our aim to unlearn behaviour and ideas that are toxic for ourselves and people around us.

2 Preventing genderbased violence

Gender based violence is strongly connected to norms and ideas around masculinity. We try to change these norms and ideas within ourselves and others. By changing the context we try to prevent gender based violence.

3 Betraying Male Supremacy

It is our aim to betray the male supremacy that prevails within our patriarchal society.

”The instances of visible dissonance, harm, and abuse in movement are evidence of toxicity in our intersecting systems of identity, belonging, resource, power, and home. One toxic substance is supremacy, so ubiquitous that is has long been invisible to those benefiting from it and can be seem desirable to those suffering from it. It manifests as white supremacy, male supremacy, ableist supremacy, straight supremacy, cis supremacy, and more – the belief that some of us are normal, are better, are justified to take and do whatever we want, including harm eachother and the earth” – Adrienne Maree Brown
